In today's present world, students are facing mounting pressure to perform well in their studies. Every parent wants their child to achieve well and go on to lead a happy and successful life. It has become more evident that relying on schools alone to provide your child with the necessary education to reach their goals is simply not enough.
Top Class Tuition Centre has been founded to support children working towards the Grammar school selection tests in Birmingham, and the SAT’s exams taken within your childs schools. The tuition your child receives when attending our courses will support them in their preparation for this very important series of exams.
We offer weekly sessions at affordable prices with a highly qualified staff. The staff consists of a team of highly qualified tutors, with excellent skills and a professional approach. All staff are CRB cleared.
Tuition takes place every Saturday between 9am - 1pm, and costs only £20.00 per 4 hour session and Wednesday evenings 5pm - 7pm and costs only £10.00 per 2 hour session.
11 + Preparation
For those parents looking for 11+ tuition. At Top Class Tuition Centre, we have classes that support all year groups from years 2 to 6. We supplement the childs school learning in Maths, English and introduce the subjects of Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning so that they are fully conversant with all aspects of the tests. In addition to subject learning we cover exam techniques and time management skills.
11+ Tuition is given in the four areas tested:
- > English
- > Mathematics
- > Verbal Reasoning
- > Non-Verbal reasoning
All learning resources are provided by the centre and homework will be set as appropriate - normally on a weekly basis. The homework will be an extension of the class work, and will be marked and worked through at the next session to ensure the pupil understands their errors. In this respect we ask for parents support to ensure that this is completed by their child so we can truly see their understanding.
At Top Class Tuition we keep each group small and intensive. By keeping the class sizes small we are able to devote time to your child but still allow them the opportunity to work independently. Small groups also allow us to pair learning allowing your child to work with another to solve problems, this aids their social and communication skills as well as making the session fun and interesting.
SAT’S Preparation
We also offer classes for students working towards the very essential series of SAT's exams. We have classes that support all year groups, from years 2 to 9. We are totally dedicated and committed to inspiring students to attain their greatest aims and can supplement any areas that may be deficient within school classroom. The principal fundamentals in our teaching methods are intensive tuition in small groups, and regular exam practice using past test papers.
Classes are held in 3 key subject areas at all levels, KS1 in year 2, KS2 in year 6 and KS3 in year 9.- > English
- > Mathematics
- > Science

Enrolment
Students are enrolled following a trial session and assessment. This route enables us to make recommendations on which group/level/type of tuition will best suit the individual student.
